Williams Chicken Celebrates 38 Years with 38 Acts of Kindness Across North Texas

DALLAS, TX — In celebration of 38 flavorful years of serving North Texas, Williams Chicken announced today its launch of “38 for 38,” a heartfelt campaign designed to say thank you to the community that has supported the brand since 1987.

Kicking off April 13, the “38 for 38” campaign will feature 38 pop-up acts of kindness, blessing various groups, organizations, churches, companies, and community partners with free meals and surprise giveaways. These expressions of gratitude will roll out across north Texas, with each location announced in real time on Williams Chicken’s social media platforms.

“The community has been gracious to Williams Chicken for 38 years, and we don’t take that for granted,” said Hiawatha Williams, Founder and CEO of Williams Chicken. “While giving back has always been a part of our DNA, this campaign is about being an extravagant giver—going above and beyond to show our appreciation.”

The “38 for 38” campaign aims to touch lives from schools and shelters to neighborhood heroes and frontline workers—bringing joy, comfort, and connection through hot meals and heartfelt gestures. It’s a reflection of the company’s ongoing mission to serve not only food, but hope and hospitality.

Founded in Oak Cliff in 1987, Williams Chicken has grown into one of the largest African American-owned and franchised fast-food chains in the country, with more than 30 locations and a team of over 400 employees.

As the brand celebrates its 38th anniversary on April 27, “38 for 38” reinforces Williams Chicken’s deep-rooted commitment to serving more than just great food—it’s about nourishing communities and spreading kindness one act at a time.
